One Moment In Time
by
Patricia Blake

If I could go back
For one moment in time,
And hold you in my arms
And make you mine.
I can’t tell you how much
It would mean to me,
But I would shout it from the rooftops
For the world to see,
This is my son
In whom I’m well pleased
Thank you dear Lord
For giving him to me !

If I could go back
For one moment in time,
To hear your first cry
And know that you’re mine,
I can’t tell you how special
That would make me feel.
But I would tell the whole world
He’s my son - too precious to be real.
This is my son
In whom I’m well pleased
Thank you dear Lord
For giving him to me !

If I could go back
For one moment in time,
To play with you in the sun
It would be so sublime,
To teach you to talk
And tell you stories so real,
To teach you to walk
You don’t know how blessed I would feel.
This is my son
In whom I’m well pleased
Thank you dear Lord
For giving him to me !

But time has passed on
I must look ahead somehow,
I’m just so very thankful
That you have found me now,
There are no words to tell you
How much you mean to me,
But I can tell you one thing
I hope you can see.
You are my son
In whom I’m well pleased
And I thank the Lord
For bringing you to me !
